Suffering

On my way into Whole Foods this afternoon I saw the bumper sticker:
"May all beings be free of suffering"
I thought that was a bit much...

My first thought was along the lines of.. Really I can only think of one situation where that would be true..
My second thought was how much I would like to play the part of the devil where I gave people wishes and then gave them something while literally what they asked for, causes them great grief.

I then dissected the statement into two parts: All Beings, and Free of Suffering.
I wondered how hard core this person was.. In addition to being a vegan, were they also walking around with a broom, carefully sweeping bugs from under foot?

Free of Suffering.. Is that subjective? Does scratching my new Porsche count as suffering?

I think I need one.
