Mike Daisey: "I am not a journalist"
HO HO HO... Mike Daisey your crow is served. I used to be a big fan of Daisey until I saw his Apple show. It took me a while to crystallize why it was that I didn't believe everything he said, and as many of you know I happened to run in to someone that actually worked in Schenzhen, and I got quite an eye opening other side of the story. That and his argument that "It's not about Steve Jobs, it's about china/manufacturing conditions in general"... And yet, there he is front and center in the title of his show.. "The Agony and Ecstasy of __STEVE JOBS__" ... Kind of hard to believe when Steve is the most mentioned person in the show... anyhow.. the link:

Now it's time to fall back on the trusted "I'm an entertainer, not a journalist" line.
It's also interesting to note that one of the things that is mentioned as being fabricated is the story about N-Hexane. It's interesting to me that he didn't even mention it when he was doing his show here in Seattle. It wasn't until later that the mass media started reporting on N-Hexane, and Daisey added it to his monologue. I wonder if he had time during his busy tour schedule to head back to China for more investigation, OR that China would even let him in. Maybe.. Maybe not. It would be interesting to know for sure.
